The BELPEARL AUCTION event organized  by BELPEARL AUCTIONS (HK) LTD, resulted in an aggregated sale of approximately USD $4.03 million. The auction showcased 371 lots of South Sea pearls from producers in Myanmar, Philippines ,Indonesia and Tahiti over a three day period, prior to the UBM September Jewellery Show in Hong Kong.

Mr. Michael Hajjar, director of business development BELPEARL: “For this September auction we continue to focus on offering higher quality pearls, and have added a new producer from the island of Rikitea, French Polynesia to our existing partner group. This happens at a time when the Asian demand for Black South  Sea pearls, especially round pearls of darker color is on the uptick.

“The success of our auction platform has allowed us to gain an unprecedented quantity of premium quality South Sea pearls especially from Myanmar where we oversee the sale of nearly half of the countries production as well as the top two quality producers in Indonesia.  We have scheduled further auctions in November 2017, and January and February 2018, prior to the HKTDC Jewellery Show.”

The next BELPEARL Auction is being organized for November 26-29, 2017 and will feature the harvests of producers from Myanmar, Indonesia, and the Philippines. To find out more about upcoming auctions, visit
